Exam Patterns

IX-CBSE  :   In current exam pattern, the students are assessed through half yearly & final examinations which will include the whole syllabus.

MVPP  : MVPP (Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha) is a state level exam where top 1000 brains of Delhi of class IX are selected and provided with scholarship of Rs 5000/- The eligibility to appear for this exam is 60% marks in class VIII. There are 200 questions to be attempted in 4 hours.

Paper-I includes 100 questions on Social Studies, Sciences and Mathematics. Paper- lI includes 100 questions on Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation

The exam is usually conducted between December to February every year

ADMISSION ENQUIRY

X-CBSE : As per the latest pattern , the Board exams with full syllabus are conducted during February & March
X-NTSE : NTSE (National Talent Search Examination) is an exam conducted by NCERT, the purpose of which is to identify talented students from all over India and provide them scholarships for further education. The eligibility of this exam is for Class X students who must have scored 65% in class IX.
2000 students are selected from all over India and they are granted scholarships starting from Rs. 1250/- per month. This facility is provided upto Ph.D. level and the amount of scholarship also keeps on increasing, depending upon the level of study.

This exam is conducted in two levels : Stage 1 exam is conducted around November every year and Stage 2 exam is conducted in the month of May next year. It is not necessary that those who qualify Stage 1 are eligible for Stage 2 exam.

All the states select the top students from the stage 1 qualified list and only those students are eligible to appear for stage 2 exam. The content of the exam is MCQ type of 4 hrs. duration including :

  • Mental Ability Test (MAT) covering Verbal & Non Verbal reasoning consisting of 100 questions to be attempted in 2hrs.
  • Scholastic Ability Test (SAT) covering Social Studies, Science, Mathematics consisting of 100 questions to be attempted in 2 hrs.
JEE  :  The earlier exams of IIT-JEE conducted by IIT’s and AIEEE conducted by CBSE have been given a new name and pattern from the year 2013 i.e. JEE Main & JEE Advanced.

JEE Main  :  Those who wish to join any college except IIT’s will have to qualify JEE Mains and those who wish to join IIT’s, for them JEE Mains will be a screening exam which they need to qualify to sit for JEE Advanced. JEE Mains is a single tier exam of 3 hrs duration consisting of objective type questions with negative marking.

JEE Advanced  : Besides qualifying JEE Main, a student must have scored 75% in the XII Board exams to be eligible to sit for JEE Advanced . It is a two tier exam of 3 hrs. duration each conducted in a single day consisting of objective type, comprehension based, assertion-reasoning type, numerical grid type of questions with negative marking.

NEET  : National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test is a single eligibility cum entrance examination for MBBS BDS, BAMS, BUMS, BHMS. The exam is of 3 hrs 20 min. duration consisting of objective type questions with negative marking including 50 questions each on Physics, Chemistry, Botany & Zoology.
