How to manage stress in NEET Preparation
Effective NEET preparation requires two things- Speed and Accuracy, and these can be achieved with regular self study and repeated practice of relevant questions in writing.
To keep your preparation stress free, you need to know the number of hours of sleep you require and accordingly you have to go to bed at a fixed time to wake up fresh every morning. Don’t have irregular habits like sleeping during day time, staying away at night or sleeping late at night. You must sleep 6 hours. Eat sufficient yet light food, it will help you feel alert .
During the morning, take some light stretching exercise to stimulate oxygen supply to your brain. If you know Pranayama or Meditation, do it regularly. It will help you in improving mental alertness. Remember ‘believing that you can’, is the first step towards managing the preparation stress.
Approach one topic at a time and complete its revision before moving onto the next topic. Revision is a must alongwith sufficient practice, in writing.
Depending upon the number of days available, give time for each subject and topic. Your goal should be to qualify and with the best possible marks/rank. There is no minimum qualifying marks in each subject. Therefore, you have to only get the highest possible overall score in NEET.
Make strong points your real strong points – be absolutely thorough in the topics that you are strong in . Do not divert your attention towards topics that you are unsure about. It requires less efforts to score better in the topics you are strong at, than attempting to understand a topic you have barely touched till now.
